Calculating your retic water flow rate
Using our Flow Rate Calculator, enter your bucket size (in litres) and the time it took to fill your bucket (in seconds) – this will automatically calculate your flow rate.
The number you get refers to the amount of water your tap or water source can supply in one minute. It won't be perfectly accurate, but will let you know if you have low water pressure or high water pressure.
Example: if it takes 20 seconds to fill a 10-litre bucket, the flow rate is (10 ÷ 20) × 60 = 30 L/min. Allowing for pressure loss, 30 L/m minus 20% gives you 24 L/min.
